But PLR content doesn’t stop at PLR articles; there are books, reports, audio, video, software and more.

Of course, you can use other PLR content in most of the same ways as you use articles but there are some additional ways and ways that work better with other PLR content but could have been included in the PLR article list.

I’ve identified 24 more ways you can use PLR, they are…

PLR Digital Books

Traffic Generation/List Building

1. Turn PLR books into viral traffic generators: you can take your PLR books and modify them to include your links and sell or give them away with Giveaway Rights.
2. Add PLR content to giveaway events: you can take your PLR books and submit them to giveaway events. It’s best if you modify them so they aren’t just something that’s been seen before.
3. Create YouTube videos: take your PLR books and create a series of YouTube videos with the chapters or major sections. Use this for traffic and lead generation.
4. Use PLR products as “bonus swaps”: take your PLR content and have it put as a bonus for another marketer’s product and you take one of their products and use it for your product.
5. Use PLR books as an incentive for subscribing: take the PLR books give them as an incentive to subscribing to your list or newsletter.

General Marketing

6. Use PLR content as freebies: take your PLR books and give them away to existing subscribers and customers as a way of saying thank you.
7. Break into articles: take your PLR books and break them up into a series out articles; use them in most of the 28 ways in the previous blog post

Product Creation

8. Combine PLR books into a new product: you can take the contents of several e-books and create a new, more valuable product.
9. Combine PLR books into a course: you can take the contents of several e-books and create a comprehensive course on the subject or combine several subjects together to create a larger course.
10. Turn it into a physical product: take your PLR content and put it on CD or DVD, or have it printed and bound into a physical book or course.
11. Turn it into an audio product: take your PLR content, get a professional, and turn it into a audio book
12. Turn it into a video product: take your PLR content and create a series of videos around it; use it with the actual PLR book. This could be a new product or a new video course.
13. Turn it into a physical product: take your PLR content (the original content or the audio and video you created) and put it on CD or DVD, or have it printed and bound into a physical book or course. You could then even sell it on eBay.
14. Create brandable PLR books: you can take your PLR books and put in brandable links and sell or give them away. This allow people to rebrand the PLR books with their own links and sell or give it away themselves.
15. Translate PLR into various languages: you can take your PLR books and translate them into different languages; this could be digital or physical products. You could then use them in the same ways your use the book in its original language.
16. Create a PLR products membership site: take your PLR content and create a membership where you provide the PLR every month.
17. Sell with Resell Rights: take your PLR content and sell it with resell rights so your customers can resell it and make money with it.
18. Sell with Private Label Rights: take your PLR content and sell it with private label rights so your customers can use it in all the ways you can.
19. Use PLR books as bonuses for paid products: take the PLR books and package them up as a bonus for some of your other paid products; you can also use them as a bonus for affiliate products.
20. Use PLR books as unannounced bonuses: you can also use PLR books as unannounced bonuses to customers after they purchase
21. Put PLR content in your backend: use your PLR books, or content you create from them, and add them as backend products. Put them as up sells, down sells, cross sells or just stand alone back end products.

24 More Ways to Make Money with PLR: E-books

There is one primary reason you want to use Rights product; be they Resell Rights, Master Resell Rights, Private Label Rights or Giveaway Rights.

That reason is to sell or give away the product to ultimately get you some profit, directly or indirectly.

So you need to make sure that you pick products that someone would actually want to pay for and that will produce actual cash.

As I’ve said before, you need to look at the end goal of the customer.

For example, cosmetic companies don’t sell cosmetics, they sell things like, romance, sex, self-esteem, etc.

They know the goal of their customers and they produce are ones that help their customers achieve that goal and that’s how they market those products.

So, assuming you’ve done your niche research and found possible products in that niche, make sure, when you are looking for your Rights products, to find ones that focus on the goals of buyers.

Don’t know buyers essential desires?

Here’s the top 9 things that people (desperately) want (in no order):

• Happiness
• Health
• Love
• Power
• Recognition
• Safety/Security
• Sex
• Wealth/Money
• Knowledge

So always ask yourself, how does this product or service meet the goals of the prospects and the essential desires of most people?

If you can’t answer that or the answer doesn’t strongly meet the goals then the product isn’t right for you.

Picking the Right Product

After you’ve identified the products that target customers desire, you’ll need to pick the best one for your situation.

Tracking Product Possibilities

Before finding a product make sure you know how to keep track of your options.

Use this table to help you track and decide (download this spreadsheet to help you):

Fill it in the spreadsheet as follows:

1. Product Name: List the Product Name
2. Sales Letter: A number from 0 to 5 with zero being no sales letter and 5 being a great sales letter
3. Graphics: A number from 0 to 5 with zero being no graphics and 5 being great graphics. Note this is somewhat controversial because some people find that no graphics sells better than graphics and others find the opposite; be sure and do split testing to find which is best in your situation – adjust the spreadsheet accordingly
4. Bonuses/Back End: A number from 0 to 5 with zero being no bonus or back end and 5 being a great bonus and back end
5. Product Rights: Enter the rights using:

• GR = Giveaway Rights
• RbR = Rebranding Rights
• RR = Resell Rights
• MRR = Master Resell Rights
• PLR = Private Label Rights

List all the rights separated by commas

The Value Score will be calculated for you and the higher the score the more likely it will be to bring you profit; the spreadsheet will highlight the highest score.

Of course, this is very rough but it will easily help you narrow down your list of possible products.

Note: there are some instructions included inside the spreadsheet; find the orange highlighted text on the right side of the worksheet. Please enhance it to your needs as I am just trying to provide you with the minimum necessary; I certainly use more columns in my personal spreadsheet.

Finding Product Possibilities

In general, what you are looking for is a product that is either new, has Private Label Rights (PLR) (along with some type of resell rights), or one that people are already selling and doesn’t have a bad reputation.

For a new product, you’ll need one that comes from a reputable source. Someone who has a history of releasing products of good quality and that stands behind their products; this minimizes your risk of a false start by choosing a bad product and having to return it and find another.

For a PLR product, since you can modify it, you have some good options and additional protection against a bad choice. Still though try to find something from a reliable source and either something relatively new or that has a history of selling well.

Now, to find a product you need to do some research.

Say you’ve decided to sell a product on Chinese cooking, having found the niche to have a lot of buyers.

Do a search in Google and type in: “Chinese cooking” affiliate program.

This is a good place to start because it narrows down the list to products that people are selling.

Another thing to do to check this is to go to ClickBank and type in “Chinese cooking and see what is returned.. For example, ClickBank returns a product that sounds promising “Chinese Cooking Secrets Revealed”

Check out some of the products and put them in the spreadsheet.

You may be wondering why we are looking at affiliate products; there are two primary reasons.

The first reason is to sign up for the affiliate program and sell the product as an affiliate first.

This lets you see how well it sells and can point out flaws that you can exploit, for example, maybe it gets a lot of traffic but it doesn’t convert well so you can redo the sales page, maybe add some additional bonuses, etc.

Then, if you are satisfied with the potential of the product, you can purchase the rights to the product and sell it yourself, have your own product created or even just leave it as an affiliate product and go find another product (ultimately though you want to be driving traffic to you and building your list not to someone else).

The second reason is that you find your competitors, see what they are doing and how to better differentiate yourself.

Another thing I like to do is do a search for product with resell rights, for example: “Chinese cooking” resell rights; also try “Chinese cooking” resale rights.

Put any good possibilities into the spreadsheet.

Beware of products that seem to be “done to death”, particularly at a low cost as there would be additional work, maybe lots of additional work, needed to make this successful so there might be easier products to sell.

The point is to do the searches, find the products and put them in the spreadsheet. When in doubt, become an affiliate and try it out “for free”.

Picking the Product

After you’ve gotten the product possibilities in the spreadsheet, it will provide you with a “by-the-numbers” look at which products are the best possibilities.

But that look is just part of the decision making process.

Minimally, you need to look at competitors so you can properly differentiate yourself. That and your further research should really help you focus on the product and direction to take for a successful online business.

You should also do things like go (back) and look at forums and places like Yahoo Answers! to make sure the product is solving problems people actually have and answers questions people are asking.

You can go to the “secret site” at http://www.QuantCast.com to learn more about the demographics and competitors.

Don’t Over Plan and Research

It’s important to do the research now so you don’t pick the wrong product BUT do NOT get caught up in researching forever.

It would be better to pick a less than perfect product, even if you quickly fail and have to move on to another product, than keep looking and researching.

You will never be successful if all you do anything but plan and design and research.

So give yourself a deadline, one that is shorter than you feel comfortable with, to have the research done and then pick whatever seems best at the end of that deadline and then try it out and see; if it doesn’t work find another product and try again.

Conclusion

Now you have a good idea of how to quickly but properly find a product to sell.

Just stick with the proven list of desires: Happiness, Health, Love, Power, Recognition, Safety/Security, Sex, Wealth/Money, Knowledge and you won’t go wrong.

Do some research, but don’t overdo it, and pick the product. Use the spreadsheet I’m providing to help you track and decide on a product.

Insider Secrets to Finding a Product to Sell

In the second part of this series we looked at the various options for rewriting and why you would or would not use each option.

In this third and final part we get to actually rewriting the PLR content – this would be the fun stuff if you like to write or the stuff you outsource if you don’t like to or don’t have the time.

Let’s jump right in

Anatomy of PLR Content

So this doesn’t get to be a long 100-part series I will focus solely on written content, that is, PLR book and articles.

The standard PLR content is made of up these 4 basic things:

1. Title: I don’t think this needs to be explained but remember it is the “headline” of the content so jazz it up some (or a lot!)
2. Introduction: there is usually a section that summarizes what the content is about and gets you hyped to continue reading
3. Chapters or Sections: books have chapters where each main point is gone over in detail; I’d suggest doing 8-10 chapters. Articles have section where each main point is gone over in some depth, but not in the detail you would in a book chapter; I’d suggest sticking to 3-6 sections.
4. Conclusion: this is sometimes called a summary because it summarizes what you’ve talked about. The difference between it and the Introduction is that the introduction focuses about the “problems” whereas the conclusion focuses on the “solutions” to the problems introduced in the introduction.

Put another way: suck them in, evoke emotions with the problems or issues you’ll talk about, amuse/educate/entertain/illuminate, and then pound it into their brains one more time.

You can certainly add addition things like a resources page, disclaimers, copyright and rights information, appendices and other stuff but the foundation of any written PLR content is the above.

Let look at each of the content “bone” in more depth (like we just said to do)

Rewriting the Title

Since the title is the first thing people see and one of the things they are likely to remember it’s a “must change” item.

You don’t want to have the same title as everyone else or you’ll just get lost in the crowd.

Come up with a snappy, attention grabbing, maybe even “in your face” title.

Remember too, that if the content is an article or something Google can index it will also show up in the search results so the more eye catching it is the better it will be for you.

Also for articles, make it keyword rich, this will help with the search engine ranking too.

So sit down, use a thesaurus if you need to, and think of different, more exciting ways you can redo the title.

For example, the title of this article is “Live the Life By Rewriting PLR Content”

Rewriting the Introduction

The introduction is where you talk about the problems and issues you will be addressing in your book or article.

Not all books and articles have them but I would encourage you to add one if it doesn’t.

It’s really easy to add one, just take the primary points and create a sentence or short paragraph about each one.

To rewrite, just reword the introduction to add interest and personality to it.

Rewriting the Chapters and Sections

It is best to take a chapter or section at a time and rewrite them.

If a chapter has subsections then do each subsection separately.

So what do you do?

Cut the Fat

First, get rid of the fluff.

Most of the PLR content comes with lots of extra words that don’t add to the actual value. Take out this extra stuff; this “fat” makes for a worse product and removing it starts to differentiate your product.

Mix It Up

Second, usually it is easy to reorder paragraphs, sentences and words to make the content stronger or more interesting.

Lists are Gold

Change paragraphs or add bulleted lists.

Yes, just take some of the paragraphs and make lists from them. It’s as simple as that.

You can also add some lists to differentiate and add value to your product.

Chop It Up

One big problem I see with most PLR content is that there are huge paragraphs.

Not only does it have fat with rambling sentences in long paragraphs but it talks about lots of different things in different ways.

Take these long and rambling sentences and paragraphs and, after cutting out the extra words, chop them up into shorter sentences and paragraphs that focus on a single concept.

It will be easier to read and understand and a lot more interesting.

Modernize

Most of the PLR content available online is months, if not years, old.

This doesn’t mean it isn’t valuable but it may mean that it needs to be brought up to date.

Find the places where this is true and replace or remove those paragraphs.

Personalize

One of the best things you can do is add your unique personality to your PLR content.

So when you are rewriting they may be many places where you just need to put it into your words instead of the words of the original author.

Rewriting the Conclusion

The conclusion is where you tie everything together, reinforce the solutions and have one last chance to bond with your reader.

Like the introduction, not all books and articles have them but can easily add one if it doesn’t.

For each of the points, say again the essential point of the solution.

Points to Remember

For best results, make the PLR content as original and unique as you can.

If you rewrite don’t just rely on the tools to tell you things are okay, make sure it reads right and sounds like you (or how you want to sound like).

If outsource don’t rely on the writer, read it and sure it sounds right.

One good way to check the content is to read it aloud (or have someone read aloud and make a recording). This will find lots of things that you can easily correct to get a superior product.

You can add unique value by putting in charts, graphs, lists, Web sites, additional products, spreadsheets, footnotes and other things that will make your product look sensational when compare to competing products.

If you want to really be extraordinary, create audio and video from the content; either to support the content or to put it in another format. Use that as a bonus or back-end for your PLR content.

Conclusion

We looked at the things to do to rewrite PLR content to make your product both superior and lucrative.

PLR articles and books can be a highly profitable way to boost your income as an Internet marketer.

It saves you time and money and you don’t even need to know anything about the subject matter, although I will admit that helps; this is true though whether you rewrite yourself or outsource it to a ghostwriter.

If you are rewriting yourself then just take each section on its own and do it before moving to the next one

Start with the title and take each section one after the other applying the rules and techniques we discussed above.

After you are done you can use various desktop and online tools to see how unique your PLR content is. I use tools that are part of my content writing tools but I did find the following free tools. I haven’t tried them at all though so I can’t vouch for them in any way:

For Web content you can always use the venerable http://www.copyscape.com/ which is particularly good to use if you outsource to make sure the writer didn’t just copy content from someone else.

By following the steps in this series I think you can see why using PLR content can make it faster, easier and less costly to make additional, maybe a LOT of additional, money online.

Live the Life by Using PLR Content, Part 3

In this second part we will be looking at the various options for rewriting and why you would or would not use each option.

I go from what I consider the worst options to the best options.

Content Wrapping

One method of pseudo-rewriting PLR content is something called content wrapping.

This is where you add an introduction at the top of some PLR content and a conclusion at the bottom of it but don’t change anything else.

You can do this manually or get software to help do it for you.

Advantages: it is quick to do and you no longer have 100% duplicate content.

Disadvantages: the remaining amount of duplicate content is so great that it doesn’t really differentiate you much and doesn’t pass the “duplicate content” filters so you’re limited in what you can do with it.

Notes: Some people do content wrapping and then do small changes elsewhere in the document, particularly to add keyword phrases.

Content Spinning

Content spinning is taking PLR content and replace words, phrases and sentences with synonyms and other content that means the same thing; you can also move around entire paragraphs.

There is a lot of software to do “spinning” and as nice as that sounds usually the content produced by spinning software is almost always pretty bad and sometimes it’s even unintelligible; some isn’t too bad though.

Some require you to modify the content to indicate words and phrases that can be replaced and you have to put in the various replacements. It then creates lots of similar content by randomly replacing some of the words and phrases.

This requires a lot more work upfront by you but it does a much better job of producing readable content.

Advantages: it is relatively quick to do and you can get a lot of unique content. There is lots of software to help and the content will usually pass the duplicate content filters.

Disadvantages: if you do it manually it is labor intensive and if you use software the quality of the spun content can be bad; although it is usually easier to fix the content to correct the English than write from scratch.

Notes: Be sure you don’t just use spun content without serious review.

Manual Rewriting

The method that produces the best rewritten content is if you rewrite it yourself (others, see next option).

PLR content a great way to start because you don’t have to do the research and you don’t have to structure the content. You then just go through it and make it uniquely yours by:

1. Adding your own ideas to the content. For example, one of the things I’ve done with a PLR digital book is add a lot of footnotes highlighting and explaining specific important points
2. Add and inject your own “voice” and personality into the content.
3. Update sections that are old and have changed since the content was originally written
4. Remove sections that aren’t applicable or important anymore
5. Add charts, graphics, screenshots, audio, video, checklist, whatever will make it unique and more valuable to prospects

Correcting any mistakes including spelling and grammar

Advantages: it produces the best content, unless you aren’t a good writer, and it the most uniquely yours with no duplicate content filters to worry about.

Disadvantages: it is labor intensive although there is software that help you research and write to make it easier.

Notes: This way is a great way to do it except some people don’t write well, fear writing or don’t have the time; also it may not be the best use of your time. For all these reason the next option is also recommended.

Outsourcing

You can outsource any of the above options but the best overall approach is to outsource the manual rewriting.

You can hire service companies and individual writers to take your PLR content and rewrite it into something new and original.

Advantages: it produces the great content, the best if you aren’t a writer, and it saves you time and effort which could be used in a better way.

Disadvantages: it requires a cash outlay although an article rewrite should be under $5 and a digital book rewrite under $100. You are also more at the whim of the writer so sometimes you don’t get what you want when you want it; you’ll need to weed those people out and find the ones who are responsive to you.

Notes: This is particularly good if you have more money than time or you can’t write well. One service I’ve used that does a pretty good job can be found at http://www.StreetGuideToResellRights.com/Recommends/NeedAnArticle.

Conclusion

In this article we looked at the 4 major options for rewriting PLR content.

You now know what they are and the advantages and disadvantages of each so you can make a better decision on what to do. In brief:

1. Content Wrapping: adding an introduction and a conclusion to existing PLR content. This is easy but not of great value
2. Content Spinning: replacing words and phrases in a PLR document with different words and phrases that have the same meaning. This is easy but the quality of the spun content is generally not good
3. Manually Rewrite: you, personally, rewriting the content to create a original document. Labor intensive but tools can help and it’s easier than writing from scratch; it produces great, truly unique content if you can write
4. Outsource: Let someone else rewrite the PLR content for you. Particular good for someone with more money than time or people who value there time highly but you can be at the whim and schedule of the writer.

Live the Life by Using PLR Content, Part 2

But how do you do that without spending every minute writing or spending wads of cash to get it written for you?

The answer is simple… Private Label Rights content.

If you don’t know what Private Label Rights (PLR) are let me give you a very quick overview.

Private label rights allows you to take existing content like a digital article or book (an e-book) and edit it however you wish, within the guidelines of the license of course.

Almost always you can also put your name on it, whether you edit it or not, and sometimes you are required to put your name on it.

Some examples of what you could do with PLR:

1. Add additional content, even book chapters, not already in it and create new digital books and articles
2. Put you affiliate links into it, either replacing existing links or adding new ones
3. Update or remove content that is out-dated so it is fresh and new
4. If the PLR product is articles you could combine them into a digital book.
5. If the PLR product is a digital book you could, split it up into multiple articles, e-books, reports or electronic courses (e-courses)

One final thing, their is a common misconception that Private Label Rights also gives you Resell Rights and that just isn’t true.

Frequently, you do get resell rights to PLR products but the have to be specifically granted so don’t assume you can resell the product just because you have private label rights; always check the license BEFORE you buy and don’t buy if you can’t find out.

Why Rewrite PLR Content

You need content to sell and content to bring your hordes of traffic but where do you get that content (and believe me you need lots of good content to get lots of good traffic – free traffic is definitely not “free”).

I say PLR products are a great way to get that content.

You hear many people say how PLR isn’t good because everyone buys and sells the same product or they don’t want Google to penalize them for duplicate content.

I disagree completely. I love well-research and written PLR because it saves me time and money, that is, time and money I don’t have to spend to create it from scratch. It requires:

1. Little or no research
2. Simple and inexpensive rewriting talent instead of a full fledged author
3. Relatively less time to rewrite than create (more money saving because of that)
4. Less concern about legal content because you own the rights to it

So the reasons to rewrite PLR content are to save time, to save money, to create a product unique to you and to not get a duplicate content penalty.

By the way, it should take an hour or two to research and write a typical article but it should only take about 15 minutes or so to rewrite it; so you saving at least 75% of the time and cost of creation.

For a digital book the percentage of time savings is even greater.

Cleaning Up with PLR Content

There are a number of ways to use to rewritten PLR content to pad, if not stuff, your bank account. Here are a couple of them:

Link Power Using Article Directories

One of the absolute best ways of making money with rewritten PLR content is by submitting them to article directories.

Article directories are powerful multi-channel traffic generators you should be using them to promote your Web properties.

Put a link in the resources box of the article, and other places if the directory allows, and you’ll get targeted traffic (the best kind in these ways:

1. A direct link from the article directory to your Web property so when someone reads the article that can click to go to your site
2. Direct links from everyone with goes to the directory and put your article on their Web property (a great article can be on lots of other people’s sites)
3. Indirect links from people who show your article on their sites via RSS feeds or Twitter
4. Lots of Google Love from all those one-way links from authority sites like the article directories and all the other sites who have you article on them

All that will bring in more targeted traffic and then multiply that by every article you submit.

Makes you want to run out and invest in and rewrite lots of PLR content doesn’t it!

Just remember that the biggest and most powerful article directories like Ezine Articles have guidelines so you need to own the rights and you need to rewrite it so it is unique – same topic but different words.

Plus that will just make you look more professional and expert; not bad things in the world of online marketing.

One last thing, you’ll see advertised services and software that will submit to umpteen thousand directories. That is, at best, worthless, and possibly harmful.

There is only a handful, or at most two handfuls, of article directories that have any real “power” so submitting to the others won’t do you much good and if you submit the same article to lots of Web site this could be considered “article spam” or “sparticles” and might actually harm you.

I just submit to one primary directory (Ezine Articles) and use the others now and then depending upon the situation and niche.

Create Kick-a$$ Products

Another great way to make money with rewritten PLR content is to create unique products that are in demand by buyers.

Do some market research, both before and after, your invest in the PLR content and then take it and rewrite it to be just what your research shows you people want to buy.

Let’s take a quick example, I looked at Google Trends and I see that Raw Food has a nice consistent upward trend for the last 6 years.

Further research shows me that there are thousands a month for “Raw Foods Vegan” and even more for “Organic Raw Foods” and that their trend is moving at a faster pace than just general “Raw Foods”.

So taking “Organic Raw Food” I check commercial viability, competition and other factors and end up with “Raw Diet Food for Women” as a good topic.

I then went out and found 50 articles for $5, 50 more for $1, some reports for $10, PLR Raw Food recipe books and a number of other PLR products I could use.

Now, I am wary about the quality of the content that’s too cheap unless I know to source but there is enough content that, for not too much money, I can have enough to create a digital book.

I take the content I’ve gathered, do some additional research on the Internet and rewrite the content into a product and, hopefully, some bonus products as well.

The entire process should take a couple of days, maybe a week if you’re not full-time and not experienced.

Get it all up on the Internet, drive traffic, tweak it so it is optimized and collect your money.

Then, when it’s making you some consistent money, do it all again (and again and …) with another topic or, hint, modify it slightly so it becomes “Raw Diet Food for Men” or “Raw Diet Food for Children” or …; it works great!

Conclusion

Making money with PLR products is a great way to either break into Internet Marketing or to really grow your business.

It doesn’t cost much to get started and you can get a nice business from PLR products, I know people who make well over 6 figures a year just from PLR products.

And using rewritten PLR content instead of creating it from scratch saves time, saves money, still gives you a product unique to you and you don’t have to worry about any possible duplicate content penalty.

Two great ways to use PLR content are by submitting the rewritten content to article directories and creating unique products to sell or give away or, better yet, both!

Live the Life by Using PLR Content, Part 1

Well, that’s usually true but there is so much more you can do with PLR products than just that.

I going to talk about some strategies for using and promoting PLR products and I’m sure you’ll find at least one thing that will make a difference in how you use PLR products.

Among some of the most popular ways to use Private Label Rights products is for content, for promotion and just for selling directly to your customers to make you more money.

The strategies we’ll be looking at here are small little things you can use but separately, and particularly together, they can make a big difference.

We will focus on 5 strategies you can use to tell your customers why buying your PLR products is to their advantage and how they can benefit.

They are: “Time is Money”, “Make It Your Own”, “Leaked Chapter”, “Firing You Boss” and “Viral Affiliate”, let’s look at each of them…

1. The “Time is Money” Strategy

This strategy points out to your prospects that to “create a product is time consuming” and makes sure they realize how much time they will be saving by just purchasing your PLR product.

Another thing to point out to persuade your prospect is that fact they get a product “without writing a word”. To many people it is enticing not having to research and create an information product. Of course, that isn’t the best practice but it is what many people want and even more do!

The idea that your prospect can “create your own products — FAST” using your PLR product to almost “instantly sell” is another thing you can point out.

If you feel you prospect is on the fence then you can use the “is it really worth it to create yourself” phrase so that your prospects think twice about creating their own information product. You want to remind them about “all the work it is to create a product that sells”, such as, researching, writing and editing, creating graphics and a web site, copywriting, etc.

Just remember that savvy information marketers know that time is more valuable than money so focus on that as part of your sales pitch.

2. The “Make It Your Own” Strategy

This strategy is basically the opposite of the “Time is Money” strategy in that you are touting that they can take your PLR product and “completely change it however they wish”.

This allows them to add new information, update old information, delete anything they want, or even add their own personality without rewriting the whole thing.

There are two main reasons so do this rewriting.

1. 1. To “target the content to a specific niche” or market
2. 2. To “make the content unique ” that nobody else has

3. The “Leaked Chapter” Strategy

This strategy to “leak” a chapter to create special reports to sell or give away and point out to your prospects that they can use your PLR product to create special reports.

They can just extract a chapter or two or parts of one or more chapters and use those as a give away to help build a list or to give their customers a taste of the PLR product so they’ll buy more readily; sort of like getting a sample to taste in an ice cream shop.

If you include a squeeze page you can get ever more leverage by telling them that “a squeeze page is included” so they have an easy ay to capture e-mail addresses and building a list.

You know what they say “the money is in the list.”

If the PLR product is large, hundreds of pages in size, you can pull out one or more chapters and sell them as a product on their own.

Whether for list building, as smaller products to sell or if even tell them to “create bonus products”; be sure to point out this will “increase their conversions.”

4. The “Firing You Boss” Strategy

Some words are what are called “power words” (see http://streetguidetocopywriting.com/blog/writing-copy/words-mightier-than-the-sword) and help attract and entice your prospects; “imagine” is one of them – Joe Vitale calls it a “hypnotic word.”

So you can say “imagine working for yourself” or “imagine being able to go tell your boss you’re quitting your job”, this is the goal of many Internet Marketers and having them imagine it while looking at your products gets you that much closer to the sale.

A sort of subcategory is having them imagine other things they value highly like “imagine having lots of time to spend with your family” or “imagine being able to take that dream vacation” or “imagine having that car you’ve always dreamed about” or ‘imagine…”

You can also point out that using your PLR products they could “create multiple streams of income” and make big money by having “lots of online ‘shops’” each of which is making money for them 24/7.

5. The “Viral Affiliate” Strategy

Point out to your prospects that they can “turn the keywords into affiliate links” to add another income source; you could even include or sell software that will do it for them! Most marketers like to add affiliate links to the products so pointing it out will help them like your PLR products better.

In fact, with just a little work you could create a list of affiliate programs and point out the “a targeted list of affiliate programs is included” with your PLR product so they won’t have to find them for themselves.

As an added benefit to you, if those affiliate programs are multi-tiered you could even use your links to the affiliate programs so that you earn some off of sales your customers make.

Another thing you can tell your prospects is “allow your affiliates to use the content”, meaning they can create promotional material, for their affiliates, with your PLR products; after all, the more tools you give affiliates, the more sales they can make for you and in-the-know marketers are aware of that,

One cool idea to attract more affiliates is the strategy “give the resell rights to customers”, that is, customers can get rights to sell your PLR products just by signing up as your affiliate. You just point out to them how they can “make their money back” by selling your PLR product as an affiliate and how they “don’t have to do any work” because it’s your sales page and your sales process and they just send people using their link.

Conclusion

There you have it, 5 ways to position your PLR products to help turn your prospects into customers:

1. The “Time is Money” Strategy

5 Strategies to Making More Money with PLR Products

1. Find a hot market of buyers
2. Find a PLR product to base your product on
3. Take that PLR product and create your product
4. Get everything set up to sell your product
5. Market your product
6. Track your progress

As an aside, I’d like to mention that not all PLR products are created equal.

Some are of really good quality and others are very bad – bad English, bad organization, outdated and sometime just plain wrong. So you need to be careful where you get your PLR products.

Of course, all the products (PLR and others) I sell have gone through a 4 point check to make sure they are of good quality but not everyone is so careful or conscientious; see the resources and other blog posts for other places to get good PLR products (of course, I’d prefer you get them from me

Finding a Hot Market

Now, the proper way to approach selling, online or offline, is to find buyers, hoards of them, who are clamoring for a solution and give them that solution.

But you might wonder how that works when you are looking for PLR products so you are restricted to getting what PLR is available.

That would be a great question.

You could have a new, unique product created for you. It’s a good way to approach it but it can be pretty expensive.

What you need to do is find a balance between all those buyers just waiting for you and what you can actually provide them.

The way I recommend is to find profitable markets, see the free gift in my last blog post at [*URL*] for a very simple basic way to do that or at least start finding the market; we’ll look at doing keyword research just below.

Then see if you can find a PLR product that solves the need. If you can great, if not then you need to find another market (unless the market you found is so good then you might seriously consider having the product created for you).

Keyword research

You’ve probably heard of keyword research, heck, you’ve probably done keyword research so I don’t need to go into a long explanation of what it is; anyway that is a topic for another time

Let me just say that it is really just finding the words and phrases people are searching for on Google, Yahoo! and other places; as simple as it sounds it is very fundamentally important to know how to do it well and, of course, to actually do it!

What you do is use keyword tools and type in one of more keywords or phrases.

Some popular (and good – I use them all!) tools are:

• Google’s Keyword Tool at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
• WordTracker’s tool at http://www.StreetGuideToResellRights.com/Recommends/WordTracker
• Keyword Elite http://www.StreetGuideToResellRights.com/Recommends/KeywordElite

You start with general terms in your niche, say tennis. Then look at what people are searching for and find more specific keywords, say tennis serve.

Put that into the tools and see what results you get, that is, what are people searching for that’s related to serving in tennis.

Eventually you’ll get to a something more specific than just tennis, maybe it’s “improve second serve” or something like that, it can even be something as “improving a woman’s second serve.”

These 3 or 4 word phrases are called “long tail keywords” and this is where you are more likely to find actual buyers instead of just people browsing or surfing around the Internet.

Remember how I suggested that what you are looking for are potential customers who have a want or a need that your new product can satisfy? Well, the way I try to find such people is by using ‘want’ or ‘need’ words when I am searching for suitable keywords or phrases.

After you’ve done that you should do additional research at Google (search results, Insights, Trends, AdWords ads, etc.), QuantCast, Clickbank, Yahoo! Answers and others, but the important point to understand is that you need to find a list of keywords that buyers are searching for so you can drive those prospects to your sales page or blog or whenever your sales funnel starts.

One tip that will help you it to use some “qualifier” words to help you find buyers for things that you can find products for; after all, if there are lots of buyers but you can’t find any PLR product to use to sell to them they don’t do you any good.

Some qualifier words are:

• Blog
• Buy
• Discussion
• Forum
• Guide
• Help
• How to
• Information
• Resource
• Seminar
• Tips
• Training

Just add those to the front or enter of your keywords and your results will be more likely to find buyers as well as find products your can sell them.

Getting Started with PLR Products: Finding a Hot Market

1. Personal Use Only (PU): Read and use the information for you personally
2. Giveaway Rights (GR): You can give it away to others for no cost
3. Resell Rights (RR): You can sell it to others
4. Master Resell Rights (MRR): You can sell the Resell Rights to others
5. Private Label Rights (PLR): You can modify the product

Each of those categories has many subcategories of what you are allowed to do; you need to read the rights license of each product to be sure of your exact rights.
For example, some PLR products allow you to resell the product but you cannot claim authorship of it, while other PLR products require that you must claim authorship.

Please note that owning a PLR product doesn’t give you the right to sell it, only change it; be sure to check the rights license to see if you get resell rights also.

Many PLR products come with unrestricted PLR which means that you can do whatever you want with them; this is the type we’ll be looking at for a while. I’ve had some questions about ways to profit from PLR products so I’m answering them in this blog so everyone can benefit.

You may be wondering what you can do If you have unrestricted Private Label Rights to a product, here is a sampling of some options just to give you an idea:

• Claim authorship
• Change the title
• Add new content
• Modify some or all of the content
• Remove any of the content you wish
• Use the content for your Web site or blog
• Create articles for article directories
• Give it away
• Sell it
• Add it to a membership site
• Do nothing, just sell it as is (not recommended)

The best way to profit from a PLR product is to take it, make enough changes so that you add value and differentiate yourself from everyone else and sell it (or give it away to viral product.)

We’ll start at the beginning and go through the entire process of how to be earning some money using PLR products.

I am going to use the new few blog posts to not only talk about using PLR products but to give you an example.

There is an unrestricted PLR product I have named Hot Trends. It is video training on how to find and make money with hottest trends of the day; it is 6 videos, AVI files, one on each topic.

What I am going to do is:

1. Edit each one to add a intro page and an exit page
2. Add some royalty rights music from http://www.MusicForInternetMarketers.com
3. Create flash files from them
4. Put a link on each of these blog post to the next video
5. Put a download link to let you download each video
6. Give you full PLR rights to each video
7. Package all 6 videos up, along with a sales page, and give that to you as another PLR product.
