15 Steps to Using Resell Rights Products

Lots of people have gotten Resell Rights products and I’ve had people asking me how to best use them so I thought I’d quickly step through one way you can use the Resell Rights products to help make you money, build your list and build your relationship with your customers and prospects.

Resell Rights products — be they just Resell/Resale Rights, Master Resell Rights/Master Resale Rights or Private Label Resell Rights products — give you the rights to resell the products to other people. Sometimes they also allow you to give them away; just read the rights license. (Click here for more information on what Resell Rights products are and ways to use them).

Assuming you already have a domain name (try 1 & 1 if you need one), hosting account (my favorites are Blue Host and Host Gator) and e-mail management/autoresponder account (I use Aweber), here are the 15 steps to best use Resell Rights products to improve your business:

1. Find some products that fit together well, maybe they all talk about different ways of getting traffic or different aspects of how to be an affiliate marketer or whatever; just make sure they complement each other.

Of course, make sure the products are something your existing prospects and customers will want to buy and/or, if you’re looking to start something new and drive traffic to it, then it can be any set of products where together they are better than apart; but remember to do some research to find what hot topics have buyers waiting for your solution.

2. Take some really good products (two or three is enough) and make those your primary products, that is, the central part of your offer.

3. Take some other products (two or three is enough) and make those your bonus products; to enhance the total offer.

4. Take another product and use it as a freebie; this will help attract propsects and build your list.

5. Take some more products for your back-end (at least one or two but there can be more); these need to make what they just bought even more valuable and will increase your average value per customer.

6. Take some additional products (at least one but three or four is better) for unannounced bonuses; these help build your relationship with your customers and reduce refunds.

7. Create a sales page. Usually the easiest way to do that is look at the sales pages for your primary products (step 2 above) and find the best one (the one that hits the most emotional triggers for your intended audience.

Then add the other primary products to that sales page using the best sales copy from those other primary products’ sales pages.

Be sure to put you payment button or link on the sales page (like a PayPal button, PayDotCom button or your 1ShoppingCart link) in place of the one already there.

8. (Optional but recommended) Create some new graphics, like e-book covers and header graphics to differentiate yourself some from everyone else.

You can also create some graphics for your affiliates to use when they promote your product.

9. Add an “exit pop” to the give away the freebie (step 4 above); I use Virtual Smart Agent but there are other good ones also.

If someone tries to leave the page without purchasing then, have the window pop up telling them that they can get a free product just for giving you their e-mail address. This capture the e-mail address right from the pop up and put it directly in your list (like your Aweber list) or you can have it go to a new page where they sign up there.

Note though, that if you are using Google AdWords, they don’t like pages that have any type of pop ups.

Alternately, or in addition to, you can use the freebie on a squeeze page solely for list building purposes and then later try to get them to your sales page from the follow up e-mails you send.

10. Create an opt-in page so you can capture the customers e-mail address after purchase (unless you are using an integrated solution like 1ShoppingCart or Infusionsoft).

This is similar to step 9 but it is a list of customers not a list of prospects. It is always better to separate the two if possible.

11. Create a special offer or one-time-offer page (or pages) that people go to after they’ve confirmed the e-mail address they entered in the opt-in page. You can use the upsell/downsell method.

If you are using 1ShoppingCart you can get it to do this semi-automatically; you still need to create the page but it will manage getting the customer from one page to the next.

12. Create one or more download pages where they can download the products they purchased; like the sales page take one of the existing download/thank you pages and add the additional products — 1ShoppingCart will create a thank you page where people can get download their products if you use them for digital delivery.

Put one or more unannounced bonuses on this page and also some other offers, either of your own products or other people’s products who you are an affiliate for.

You can talk to other marketers and do an ad swap, that is, trade putting their ad on your download/thank you page if they’ll put your ad on theirs.

13. Create an autoresponder sequence in your e-mail management program (again, like Aweber). Have at least 5 follow up e-mails up to 10 or 12, spaced appropriately.

In the first, third and fifth put in unannounced bonuses they can download.

In all the e-mails put some tips or other information related to the original products; mention upcoming bonuses in all e-mails.

In every third or fourth one put in an ad for a product (yours or someone else’s).

14. Invite affiliates to promote your products, give them at least 50% commission on up to 100% if you just want to build your list; if you have good back-end products that you can get to convert well (that is, that many people will want to buy) you can even offer more than 100% commission.

Provide them with things to help them like graphic banner and ads, e-mail swipe files they can use to send to their lists, free products they can give their lists, text ads, audio ads, video ads, PPC ads, etc.

Anything you can provide to your affiliates that will help them will make it more likely they will promote your product which helps them and you.

15. Test and tweak the sales pages uncluding the offer to maximize conversions.

Conclusion

There you have it, 15 steps to take to succeed with Resell Rights products; one of the very best things is that, after you set it up, it then just runs on auto-pilot, making sales for you over and over without you doing anything.

Of course, you MUST to get traffic to the sales page but the above is how you have somewhere for that traffic to go.

Another great thing is that you can do this over and over, so get one sales page working and bringing consistent money and then do the process again and again.

Products Rights Explained

After getting feedback on my last post about Giveaway Rights, I’ve realized there is still a need to explain all the different product rights options.

Products Rights ExplainedI guess it makes sense because if you been around in the Internet Marketing world at all, products rights is a confusing place with many different type of rights, many rights sounding the same as other rights but being different and even those that are the same are different.

In future blog posts I’ll go into depth about many of them but before that I’m going to give an overview.

We’ll look at the most common rights you’ll find and give you a good basic understanding of each so you know what to look for.

Remember though that each product is different and may give different rights, even if it uses a common term, so be sure to read the rights license to know exactly what you’re getting.

Let’s get to it…

Insider Secrets to Finding a Product to Sell

When looking to use Rights products, like most things, all are not equal in value.

There is one primary reason you want to use Rights product; be they Resell Rights, Master Resell Rights, Private Label Rights or Giveaway Rights.

That reason is to sell or give away the product to ultimately get you some profit, directly or indirectly.

So you need to make sure that you pick products that someone would actually want to pay for and that will produce actual cash.

As I’ve said before, you need to look at the end goal of the customer.

For example, cosmetic companies don’t sell cosmetics, they sell things like, romance, sex, self-esteem, etc.

They know the goal of their customers and they produce are ones that help their customers achieve that goal and that’s how they market those products.

So, assuming you’ve done your niche research and found possible products in that niche, make sure, when you are looking for your Rights products, to find ones that focus on the goals of buyers.

Don’t know buyers essential desires?

Here’s the top 9 things that people (desperately) want (in no order):

Live the Life by Using PLR Content, Part 3

Ready to actually rewrite some PLR content and make some money :-)

In the second part of this series we looked at the various options for rewriting and why you would or would not use each option.

Using PLR Content to Live the Dream Internet Marketers LifeIn this third and final part we get to actually rewriting the PLR content – this would be the fun stuff if you like to write or the stuff you outsource if you don’t like to or don’t have the time.

Let’s jump right in

Anatomy of PLR Content

So this doesn’t get to be a long 100-part series I will focus solely on written content, that is, PLR book and articles.

The standard PLR content is made of up these 4 basic things:

  1. Title: I don’t think this needs to be explained but remember it is the “headline” of the content so jazz it up some (or a lot!)
  2. Introduction: there is usually a section that summarizes what the content is about and gets you hyped to continue reading
  3. Chapters or Sections: books have chapters where each main point is gone over in detail; I’d suggest doing 8-10 chapters. Articles have section where each main point is gone over in some depth, but not in the detail you would in a book chapter; I’d suggest sticking to 3-6 sections.
  4. Conclusion: this is sometimes called a summary because it summarizes what you’ve talked about. The difference between it and the Introduction is that the introduction focuses about the “problems” whereas the conclusion focuses on the “solutions” to the problems introduced in the introduction.

Put another way: suck them in, evoke emotions with the problems or issues you’ll talk about, amuse/educate/entertain/illuminate, and then pound it into their brains one more time.

You can certainly add addition things like a resources page, disclaimers, copyright and rights information, appendices and other stuff but the foundation of any written PLR content is the above.

Let look at each of the content “bone” in more depth (like we just said to do)

Live the Life by Using PLR Content, Part 2

In the first part of this series we saw why rewriting PLR content is a powerful way to make a lot of money online and 2 ways of using it to maximize your profits.

In this second part we will be looking at the various options for rewriting and why you would or would not use each option.

I go from what I consider the worst options to the best options.
Rewriting PLR Content

Content Wrapping

One method of pseudo-rewriting PLR content is something called content wrapping.

This is where you add an introduction at the top of some PLR content and a conclusion at the bottom of it but don’t change anything else.

You can do this manually or get software to help do it for you.

Advantages: it is quick to do and you no longer have 100% duplicate content.

Disadvantages: the remaining amount of duplicate content is so great that it doesn’t really differentiate you much and doesn’t pass the “duplicate content” filters so you’re limited in what you can do with it.

Notes: Some people do content wrapping and then do small changes elsewhere in the document, particularly to add keyword phrases.

Live the Life by Using PLR Content, Part 1

In the world of Internet Marketing content still is king and providing unique and interesting content is one of the best ways to “live the life” dreamed about by those in the Internet marketing business.

But how do you do that without spending every minute writing or spending wads of cash to get it written for you?

The answer is simple… Private Label Rights content.

If you don’t know what Private Label Rights (PLR) are let me give you a very quick overview.

Private label rights allows you to take existing content like a digital article or book (an e-book) and edit it however you wish, within the guidelines of the license of course.

Almost always you can also put your name on it, whether you edit it or not, and sometimes you are required to put your name on it.

Some examples of what you could do with PLR:
